Psychometry

Introduction

Psychometry readings are psychic readings done using a process called psychometry, which is supposedly the 'reading of energy' of an object.

Different types of psychometry

There are different practices of psychometry. Flower psychometry, for example, is psychometry done by reading the 'energy' of the flower, which results in a reading for the client. Photograph psychometry is psychometry on photographs of dead people. Photograph psychometry can be useful for mediums to establish a 'spirit link' with the dead person for a client. However, photograph psychometry is by no means 'evidence' that the medium ever communicated with the dead because, for one thing, psychometry still involves cold reading statements. For another, the medium may have acquired most of the information given in the reading by just looking at the photograph - employing hot reading and making high-probability statements. Furthermore, they may also base much of the information on what they know or can make out about the client they are working with.
